Training and Networking Events to arm business owners with practical management skills and business opportunities

The training events provided by the Northern Rivers BEC are built around the need for small business owners to acquire practical skills for the successful management of their businesses. We have recently restructured these events to make them an interactive, knowledge-sharing exercise presented and facilitated by a BEC Advisor and / or industry expert. The feedback from attendees is very positive, citing helpful, practical and understandable presentations. Our topics are chosen according to the needs of our clients and current economic developments.

Additionally, the Northern Rivers BEC presents networking opportunities to broaden our clients’ contact base, solve issues common to other small business owners and give attendess access to new business opportunities.

Training Events and Networking are an integral part of our Service package for the Northern Rivers and are held in four locations, namely, Tweed Valley, Ballina / Byron, Lismore and Clarence Valley.

We are able to provide these invaluable workshops and seminars at such a low cost due to partial State and Federal Government funding.

Coming up in April / May 2012 we have:

♦ Effective Online Marketing – A 2 hour workshop covering the marketing strategies you can apply to your online presence to boost sales and customer interaction. Begins 1st of May across all 4 regions

♦ WorkCover legislative changes – A workshop outlining the changes made to WorkCover regulations as of January 2012 – very important for all businesses to know! This series will kick off with a keynote address by Darren Flanagan of the Beaconsfield Mine disaster, followed by a workshop in each area of the Northern Rivers.

♦ Building Your Business Online workshops – A series of 3 modules that will help you identify your vision, build stronger customer relationships and integrate real online solutions to fast-track your business growth. Begins 15th of May across all 4 areas of the Northern Rivers.
