Natural Disaster Small Business Assistance Project (NDA)
Northern Rivers Business owners are finding the services available under the NDA Program very useful. Over fifty eligible business owners have already attended our purpose designed “Trading in Turbulent Times” Workshop held in Brunswick Heads, Byron Bay, Tweed and Clarence. Attendees’ feedback has been very positive, citing a practical and understandable presentation.

The government funded NDA program allows all services to be provided to your affected business free or at low cost, by a business advisor, with assistance from specialist industry professionals where appropriate.
Advisory services offered to small businesses include the following:
Mentoring for Businesses: BEC advisors provide mentoring sessions and networking opportunities for small businesses.
Business Planning Advice: Provide a diagnostic assessment of each individual small business, followed by networking opportunities, writing better business plans, e-commerce take-up, succession planning, and creating security for the business over leased premises or intellectual property.
Loans and banking products: Provide independent information and guidance on available banking and finance products for small and micro-businesses.
Simple Marketing Plans: Prepare simple marketing plans for small businesses on promotional opportunities and advertising options in your local area.
Legal and Accounting Services for:
- small businesses to access legal and accounting advice; and
- established home-based/micro businesses to obtain advice on issues such as retail tenancy, intellectual property and credit management, leasing guidance.
